Help CNU Close Out Its
Summer of Urbanism

We've Almost Hit Our Summer Fundraising Goal -- Help Us Cover the Final Stretch with a Contribution Today

Summer is coming to an end with Labor Day around the corner, and as we look back, we're excited about what our members have helped us accomplish. CNU set a very ambitious goal to raise $20,000 in donations this summer – and thanks to our incredibly dedicated and generous new urbanist community, we've raised $17,500 toward that goal! With days left before the season ends, we only have $2,500 to go. Help us meet our goal by making a donation today.

This campaign comes at a time of need for our initiatives and helps bridge the gap between other funding sources and our budget. Our work is enabled by our members and supporters, and we've been busy this summer! We've launchd a new accreditation program; we brought LEED for Neighborhood Development to our members for a vote; we're preparing for the upcoming Transportation Summit this fall; we're taking our Highways to Boulevards campaign to New Orleans; we submitted proposed changes to the International Fire Code that seek to improve overall public safety, street connectivity, and emergency response times; and we're getting ready to take new urbanist principles to a joint meeting of HUD, USDOT, and the EPA as they begin to build an unprecedented initiative—coordinating housing investments, transportation design, and planning to reduce automobile dependency and support strong, walkable neighborhoods. We're also looking ahead to next year and anticipating an exciting program at CNU 18 in Atlanta focusing on the connection between public health and the built environment.

All of these projects are in support of our mission to advance New Urbanism, and they come at a time when our ideas are being embraced by the public and policy-makers like never before. We need continued support to continue the work.
