The Gulf of Mexico Program recently announced that the Mississippi Renewal Forum will receive a first place Gulf Guardian Award for 2006 in the Partnership Category for the rebuilding and recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina. This award will be presented during the 3rd National Conference on Coastal and Estuarine Habitat Restoration on December 13, 2006 at the Hilton Riverside Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, beginning at 6 p.m. CNU was a partner in the Mississippi Renewal Forum -- more than 120 members contributed their time and expertise to the planning effort.
