LEED for Neighborhood Developments (LEED-ND) is moving into its pilot phase. The project, a partnership between CNU, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the U.S. Green Building Council, is a system for rating and certifying green neighborhood development. Existing projects will be tested against the rating system and the project team will use the findings to refine LEED-ND. New Urbanists, with their expertise in neighborhood design, are encouraged to apply.
The call for pilots will be announced within the next two weeks, so stayed tuned to www.usgbc.org/leed/nd and www.cnu.org/leednd for more details.
