New Urbanism has arrived in New England. Or was it born there? In the US, there are few areas that rival New England’s traditional, organic towns; vibrant urban neighborhoods; quintessential greens and commons; and classic main streets. As we move towards a tipping point with the current focus on Smart Growth and transit oriented development, how do we ensure that local design and implementation is well executed and respects the New England context? And how do we protect the sometimes neglected infrastructures of our original town centers?
Join the CNU New England chapter on March 30, 2007 for a day of educational sessions with national experts in the field, interactive hands-on seminars, and networking in one of New England’s true success stories, revitalized downtown Lowell, Massachusetts.
