The summit, co-hosted by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, is an opportunity to advance the initiatives of the Project for Transportation Reform alongside some of the world's most skilled and creative professionals. Over the two-day working meeting, groups will compile a cohesive to-do list for the future, as well as an immediate work plan for the next year.
Working groups for the summit will focus on:
- Transit Networks
- Transportation Modeling Reform
- Street Design
- Street Vitality Index
- Bikeway Networks
And we can't forget to mention the tours. Thursday tours explore Chicago's bike share, Red Line extension, the 606 "Bloomingdale" Trail, and converting a section of I-55 to a boulevard. Saturday's tours are just as diverse and open to attendees and the general public.
Visit cnu.org/transportation2013 for registration information, summit schedule, reading materials, and more. Registration includes: Breakfast and lunch, one Thursday Tour, and Thursday Reception. Hope to see in Chicago this November.
