Serenbe Institute is one of the grantees and will receive $ 25,000 to fund the multi-year planning project for art and design in the City of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.
Through Our Town, the NEA supports creative place making projects that help transform communities into lively, beautiful, and sustainable places with arts at their core. The grantee projects will improve quality of life, encourage creative activity, create community identity and a sense of place, and help revitalize local economies. All Our Town grant awards were made to partnerships that consisted of a minimum of a not-for-profit organization and a local government entity, in this case the City of Chattahoochee Hills
The Serenbe Institute and the City of Chattahoochee Hills share a vision of a community where excellence in art and design are core values; where art and nature combine to define and strengthen the community’s character, connectedness and sense of place; and, where artists are central to daily life. This multi-year plan will define the City’s natural and cultural resources and strengthen its sense of place; identify art and design projects that enhance civic connectedness and livability; and support local growth and development through cultural businesses and tourism.
