Innovations for Sustainable Communities Workshop
The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and The Housing and Transportation Affordability Initiative will be hosting Innovations for Sustainable Communities Workshop Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 9:00am - 12:00pm EST.
The workshop will focus on evaluating housing and transportation development decisions using combined cost measures. Housing and transportation lead as the largest budget aspects in American households. Planners, developers, and policy-makers will examine the most cost-effective way(s) to use tax dollars and individual's dollars in terms of transportation and housing.
MWCOG and The Housing and Transportation Affordability Initiative ask for your feedback during the workshop too; help evaluate the new tools HUD had developed to help consumers, planners, and more about where citizens choose to work and live. Representatives from the Manhattan Strategy Group and the Center for Neighborhood Technology will present and be available to answer questions.
Innovations for Sustainable Communities will be held at 777 North Capitol Street, NE, Third Floor, Washington, DC 20002.
