Description:
Designing a "green" street is hard. There’s competition for every square foot (travel lanes, parking, bikes, pedestrians, trees, drainage), and myriad technical requirements (load bearing, emergency services, trash collection, maintenance, soils, pollutants). This session focused on how to design and build streets that meet the conventional functions and serve as environmental systems.
