Detroit MI: The Book-Cadillac Hotel is undergoing significant restoration by The Ferchill Group. This historic 33-story hotel opened in 1924 with 1,000 rooms at a cost of $14 million to construct. Placed along Washington Boulevard, the hotel was among many historic buildings on the "Park Avenue" of Detroit. The hotel closed in 1984 for restorations, but failed to reopen. The Ferchill Group is developing a 455-room Westin Hotel with the top eight floors devoted to condos. By November 2006, 50 of the 67 condos had been sold, with prices ranging from $279,500 to $1,375,000.
