THE CAP AT UNION STATION
Location: Columbus, OH United States. Retail Center
The Cap may feel like a traditional retail arcade, but it is actually composed of three separate bridges – one for thru-traffic, and two others for retail structures on either side – which connect three historic neighborhoods north of I-670 to three developing commercial districts south of I-670, including the Arena District and the Convention Center. This modern-day Ponte Vecchio has revitalized what was once abandoned space, cut off from downtown and prone to vandalism and graffiti. Now it boasts close to a dozen retail tenants, with covered spaces for outdoor seating.
