Carter Park

Carter Park is a new traditional neighborhood located within the Indiantown Community Redevelopment Area. The Carter Park Plan focuses on creating a rich and meaningful place in the Booker Park neighborhood. This holistic development is a collaboration between the Martin County Board of County Commissioners, Habitat for Humanity of Martin County, the Boys and Girls Club of Martin County, and the Community Redevelopment Agency of Martin County. This unique partnership will transform six vacant parcels into a vibrant traditional neighborhood. The Community Redevelopment Agency organized all the involved partners to maximize this investment in the community. The plan provides 40 affordable housing lots, a 22,000 square foot urban Boys and Girls Club, a new public park with a lake that treats 256 acres of storm water runoff, and new complete street connections between Booker Park, Westbrook, and New Hope neighborhoods. Martin County has completed the construction of utilities, roadways, and stormwater facilities necessary to support this development. Project partners which includes Habitat for Humanity and the Boys and Girls Club have started construction on their respective designated housing and recreational sites
