Northeastern University West Campus Residence Halls
Location: Boston, Massachusetts. Urban college campus
Designers of Northeastern University's new West Campus make a bold claim. They believe the have developed a New Urbanist typology for the college campus. The design is based on other campus types, but relates to the city differently. This typology will surely be tested over time. What is already clear is that this campus does an extraordinary job of improving the street environment, creating physical connections between the city and the school, and giving the university a more distinctive public face.
