Location: Milwaukee, WI, USA. Riverfront area of Milwaukee formerly covered by elevated freeway

This project hinges on the removal of a freeway overpass and the resurrection of Milwaukee’s surrounding urban fabric. This reclamation of the land for human-scale development includes the careful creation of new neighborhoods featuring a riverfront walkway, new retail, housing, and parks. A new at-grade six-lane boulevard accommodates automobile traffic.
