This project transforms a transit stop dominated by an expansive park-and-ride lot into a mixed-use urban core embodying new urbanist principles on a variety of scales. Twinbrook Commons helps a growing county direct residents and employers to an infill site where they are well served by infrastructure of all kinds, especially transit. The project connects the disconnected parcel to nearby commercial and residential districts. In planning to take the site to truly urban densities, the project sets the conditions for a convincing public realm.
