Integrating LEED-Neighborhood Development into Business and Development in Texas

Doug Farr is the Chair of U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED-Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) Core Committee and the founding principal of the architecture and urban design firm Farr Associates, which is regarded as one of the most sustainable practices in the country.  As chair of the LEED-ND, he is an expert on smart growth and green building and how these new urbanist concepts can be employed in developments in Houston and around the country.

On October 25, Mr. Farr will be leading a hands-on seminar as part of the USGBC LEED-ND summit on the new LEED Neighborhood Development Standard and how to apply this tool in the Gulf Coast region.  Aimed at developers, engineers, landscape architects, municipal staff, urban planners, architects, and LEED APs, the seminar is expected to set the agenda for the next ten years of sustainability in Houston!
