Video: great way to visualize-and stop?-NYSDOT's mistake by lake

This video spells out very clearly how a new expanded frontage road — Orwellianly touted as an Olmstedian lakefront "boulevard"— will actually be a setback for Buffalo's waterfront. It keeps in place a major embanked freeway and actually adds more lanes of concrete along the lake, even though the DOT and independent analysts agree that a single boulevard could carry expected traffic. The video features excellent expert commentary from traffic engineer and CNU member Lucy Gibson, plus strong advocacy from council members Mickey Kearns and David Franczyk. Nice job, Riverkeepers, who have been strong on this issue from day 1.
