Transforming the Suburbs Webinar

The Form-Based Codes Institute is hosting a webinar in which Jason Beske and Geoffrey Ferrell discuss ways to improve sprawling suburbia on Wednesday, November 30. They will demonstrate the role of FBCs in suburban design and repair strategies, illustrated with real examples, in a 90-minute presentation with Q/A.
How do suburban communities create great places when the existing fabric of development is less than ideal? Form-based codes have proven to be an effective tool in transforming suburbs and are increasing in popularity. Using two different locations in Overland Park, Kansas - a fragment of the original town center and a nearby retail strip - Geoffrey Ferrell and Jason Beske demonstrate how to begin to build a great place using form-based codes.
