This year NextGen is hosting not only a day of Programming and some fantastic extracurricular events during the congress - but is also hosting an off-site working session space, the Urban Project Lodge with get-involved-worthy programming going on daily Tuesday-Sunday. For a full side by side schedule of Congress and Urban Project lodge events head here.

Another change is the date - last year the NextGen day of programming was held on Thursday, the first day of the Congress - but since the CNU itself has moved its start date earlier into the week - so have we! See you Wednesday! 
 

Wednesday Program

Each year, NextGen hosts its own FREE day-long event before the annual CNU, open to anyone interested in attending (you do not have to register for CNU19 to attend the NextGen Wednesday event). The NextGen Congress addresses the themes of that CNU and advances discussion on a number of other specific issues important to NextGen members. Through a series of speakers, panels and a highly engaging facilitation process called Open Source, first time attendees and multi-time returners can meet, share knowledge and inspire excitement for the future of the New Urbanism. 
 

Wednesday Schedule

A few notes about Wednesday's Schedule - after a fantastic weekend retreat in New Orleans by a number of NextGen leaders - at which the use of Pecha Kuchas - 18 in all, all in answer to the same simple set of prompts, but widely varied answers - tied with open source discussion, led to an incredible amount of insight and movement and after using Pecha Kucha in small doses in NextGen6 and NextGen7, it was decided to expand the format here - so we give you the PKT: Pecha Kucha Triad. Three Pecha Kuchas, or three speakers teaming up for one pecha kucha, all relating to a central topic and followed by discussion that we want the whole room to take part in.
