These provide as an inspiration for others. Recently, CNU was named as a top resource for the City 2.0 project, promoting the making of cities into 'better, more efficient, and more resilient.'

Semantics: Redevelopment vs. Regeneration

It has been a slight challenge to get comfortable in the drastic differences between the two planning systems, but mostly I have made peace with the translations. However, one term: regeneration, which is often substituted with redevelopment in America does not sit well with me. People see my specialization: “Urban and Regional Regeneration” and they ask me, “what is regeneration? Is like redevelopment?”

Making the case that "the biggest urban revitalization projects are in the suburbs, not downtown centers," Dunham-Jones clarifies that due to the building of the suburbs without thinking about the consequences, we must now 'rethink them.' Further into the interview, the realization of what could be in the suburbs take shape - retrofitting the suburbs to be compatible with thriving small downtown centers.
